Survival

Phew. Today was a very long day. Logan was so cranky the whole time!

We woke up at 9:30 this morning. We played for a little bit, and he ate. At 11:30, he and I walked up to the Spaghetti Factory to meet Patricia, and her twin boys, Peyton and Davin, for lunch. They are so adorable!! They are almost 10 months old, and definitely are Chub-a-lubs. Very cute.

Logan slept on the way to the restaurant, and for maybe another 20 minutes when we were there. Then he woke up and wanted to eat. After I fed him, he was smiley at everyone who came to visit. (Patricia and I both worked there before babies.)

Towards the end of our meal, Logan started getting really fussy. I made him another bottle because I thought he was still hungry. (He's been going through a growth spurt!) But he didn't want that. He didn't want to burp. I took him to the restroom, and changed him, and he was still fussy. Ugh.

We said goodbye to Noelle, and some of the other people there, and walked home. Logan fell asleep again but woke up when we got home. From then on, he was crying. When Nick got home at 4:30, I had to just pass him along. There was obviously something wrong, but I couldn't figure out what it was, and I was super frusterated!

I went up and did all the laundry, and Logan cried with Nick. Then, at 7:00, I went to get some food for us. Logan was still crying when I left.

When I was out, some stupid lady on the 30th street hill almost hit me head on! She pulled onto the road parked on the wrong side, right in front of me. I came within feet of hitting her. There were people on the sidewalk and they jumped away it was so close. Our pizza landed all over the floor.. grr.

When I got home, FINALLY there was a happy baby.

I'm pretty sure the formula that Logan is on is making him constipated. We will just have to wait a week or so to see if it gets better, or we might have to play the formula game.

Here's to hoping that tonight and this weekend are 100% better than today.

For constipation try adding about a tablespoon of Dark Karo syrup to his bottle or you can mix the Karo syrup with water in a bottle. There is something in the Karo syrup that helps with constipation. Sure wish I was there in person to help but this is the best I can do and at least we have this and the phone. I love you! You are a great Mom and Nick is a great Dad! I know that it gets frustrating at times and that it is easy to think that you are doing something wrong. You are not doing anything wrong and you are a fantastic mom! Remember that. Also remember that this too shall pass.. both on the good days and on the bad days so survive the bad days and cherish the good ones. It all passes to quickly it seems. Remember as well that I am here whenever you need me.

Love,
Mom
